Dad celebrated another trip around the Sun, making this 72. Not much fan fare. He and Mom enjoyed a nice trip to Cabbage Island for lobsters and clams. Then to our house for ice cream cake. Happy Birthday Dad!!

BJ and I made some solid progress on the bed rebuild project in the van. The original set up is clunky, piecemeal and not super comfortable. We wanted to make making the bed up a smoother process. We’re tired at the end of the day, let’s make it as easy as possible (oh and it must be comfy). We believe we’ve hit the mark and I’m excited for our next trip to test it out. We replaced the bars and table top set up with a single sheet of 5/8 inch plywood to fill the aisle space. A simple lift of the cushion, pull out the wood, slide the cushion down to fill the gap and boom, done. Roll out our bedding and go to bed. At least that’s the theory.
