Fulmars

The auks around Sumburgh Head are getting close to fledging, but the fulmars have still got a lot of work to do.

I've been keeping my eye on this nest - you could see the remains of the shell a couple of days ago, but this morning was the first time that I'd managed to get a look at the chick.
