Racing against the rain

For the last month I have not been able to cut the front lawn - rather a large area , which was created when , some years ago, we took away the much smaller formal garden bit within a wall - nor the paths through the unmown back garden where the poly tunnel sits.

The problem has not just been the abrupt change in the weather in late June from four weeks of  unbroken sunshine to showers and longer very wet and overcast periods with virtually no dry days.   That still persists but the  lawn  tractor has also been out of commission (not for the first time )  and only got back from the garage today.

I therefore took the opportunity to get a cut done as quickly as I could and it turned  into a race against the rain.   This is the almost finished task but the last bit -  dumping the last load of cuttings - was done in a  torrential downpour .

There are other little parts which are cut with a small electric mower and a strimmer , but they will have to wait, yet again.
