Nuts, whole hazelnuts

Got a feeling something will get them before me. Looks a good year for hazelnuts. Blackberries beginning to ripen, need more rain to plump them up, then copious amounts of sunshine to ripen, if anyone is listening.
A couple of hours on the plot. Fed tomatoes with comfrey feed, beans & courgettes with liquid chicken manure. Tied in tomato plants, fruits forming... Come on sunshine, where are you??
I lifted 2 hulms of potatoes, picked plump pea pods. Plunged the rasp canes in the soil until I'm ready to plant out permanently.
Took new potatoes & peas for Mum, took out a frozen chicken, ham & leek gratin to eat with the veggies. Walked Indie. Coffee & Danish, then brought in the houseplants that have had a summer splash. A parcel was delivered to Mum yesterday afternoon, she asked the driver to wait while she got her glasses, not her parcel, driver was rude to her, plonked the parcel on the doorstep & left. She is obviously confused. I now have the parcel & will contact the company as there is a driver I.d on the parcel. The post code is not in the village but here in Chudleigh. This is the second time Mum has had a parcel delivered incorrectly.
Back home for lunch.
Drive over to Ideford for a coffee and catch up with Jan. She has been successful in capturing the Nightjars up on Ideford Common. We plan a trip next week.
Back home to watch the last set of Ons Jabeur match at Wimbledon.
