Killarney National Park

I went with my daughter and her fiance today on an expedition to finalise some of the details for their wedding. Because of the sparsity of registry offices in this part of the world they had a choice of Cork or Killarney, both about two hours away. They chose Killarney as its more scenic and interesting, and so today off we went to make sure of the route there, its location, and to decide on where to make stops on the way back for refreshment and photographs.
Sadly we had neglected to consider that this is a bank holiday weekend, and that there is an international bikers festival going on there!
It was jammed, and we spent hours crawling along in traffic at zero miles an hour, getting hot and bothered and the car overheating. Although we did see lots of very cool bikes. And some very flash bikes. And bikes and bikers that looked like they had stepped straight out of the seventies. Oh the memories...

Eventually we disentangled ourselves from bike fever and found some suitable (as in - can park the bus easily, and not have to make the very elderly relatives walk far) locations for wedding photographs.
A roadside viewing point with this backdrop was one of them.
