Not a great shot and I was hesitant to publish it but #BCMovement twisted my arm.
Dashing home in heavy rain and getting a thorough soaking I was distracted by some shrieking and rasping on the opposite bank. A herring gull had taken violent exception to a grey heron which, as far as I could tell, had been minding its own business. The white bird was swooping, diving and shrieking and when it got very close, the grey bird rasped back. I don't think I have ever hear a grey heron make a noise before.
Happily the sea bird gave up and flew off but I didn't see where the heron went. I put my camera away and looked back but no sign.
