A victory dance

I spent close to half an hour watching this heron, down by Irvine harbourside.

The heron had spotted me early on and shuffled further away, so I duly did the same after a pause.

Amazing birds to watch - what a size!

S/he has something in their beak in this shot, having just pounced afer a lot of careful watching. The previous snap would have to be "bottoms up". I preferrd this, as it looks like a victory dance to me...
