Mystery transportation

In the afternoon we drove to Nauvo. While we waited a ferry to arrive, this unusual vessel passed by. Does anyone know what it is?

In Nauvo we had late lunch in the restaurant Köpmans. Meri-Kaarina, one of out group left home - their son's wedding is next Saturday.
