Friday 11 May 2007: More lushness
On the Today programme this morning, the weather presenter 'apologised' for bringing news of rain over the weekend.
I thought there was a fuss a while back when the BBC said that weather presenters shouldn't make value judgements about the weather? I can't find a reference to it now... but if there is such a policy it seems to be widely ignored.
If they are to make judgements, surely they should be saying
"Well after the driest April ever, thank goodness its going to rain this weekend, otherwise we'll all be drinking our own pee by August"
