Over the border.

We left Barnleigh in the sunshine this morning and made for Shrewsbury where one of the family wanted to visit a particular shop.

We went on to cross the border into Wild Wales to visit yet another NT property at Erddig. A lovely garden and a good s/h bookshop, but we didn't stay long as we had a fair drive ahead of us.

After a stop for dinner at Tebay services on the M6 we arrived at our Airbnb at Scotby, near Carlisle, our home for the night.
