Nepean River -Penrith Weir

So here we have it - the river weir at Penrith New South Wales Australia. This is what holds back the mighty Nepean River to give what is a marvellous expanse of water, also blocking migratory native fish like Australian bass (also locally commonly known as perch). Like all weirs it assists to control flooding in heavy rains.

VIEW IN LARGE

As you look into the pic the bridge is is the Victoria Bridge I posted earlier and Mr Jones also posted recently.

The Council over the years has done a tremendous job of park and walk way improvements along the River giving fantastic areas for families to enjoy.
For further info go to Nepean River info on the ole Wiki.
