Progress made

We made very good progress today.  There are only a couple of boxes of books left to unpack, and I’ve managed to find homes for most things, which is rather satisfying.  We do still have a storage issue, but we’re working on how to resolve it.  I did two loads of washing, which got blown about on the line by a rather strong south-westerly wind. We went out to find the organic garden so we could buy some fruit and veg, but failed miserably.  We’ve decided it’s best to check it out by walking, rather than driving there.

MrMacD had to make a hole in the corner of the hedge at the front of the property so the man from Chorus can get the fibre line through and up to the house tomorrow, which will give us broadband and WiFi.  He kept putting it off because it was rather cold outside, but eventually he ventured outside and did the necessary.  He’s also been busy flattening empty boxes and taking them down to the garage, along with piles of wrapping paper, ready for collection by the removal firm.  The bed for the third bedroom is now assembled and in place, all we need to do now is order some bed linen for it.  The house is looking more like a home and less like a rubbish tip, so it’s been a very good day.

Apologies - I’m way behind dipping into Blippers’ journals at the moment, but I will catch up soon when the pressure is off a little.

I took a photo of the rather dramatic sunrise this morning.
