Fancy plants

I'm tagging this photo of marigolds on our balcony for Wide on Wednesday, with today's theme of man-made. It seems to me that the variety of colours and shapes in these plants has very likely been created by plant breeders in the horticultural industry. They brighten the view through our front windows.
