Fallen Giant

I passed this tree today. It stuck with me for a couple miles, shich that i had to turn back and take a photo.

Alright, I took about 30. It was really challenging to get the perspective to show the significance: This was a fully mature pine tree nearly 60 feet tall simply cracked at the trunk. I ended up standing on the roof of my sport utility vehicle to get this shot. Nothing else told the tale nearly well enough. It's still not as impressive as up close.
