Stone collection

Raking out a seedbed for autumn sowing: turnips, radish, lettuce, rucola, parsley, basil -and courgettes. Lorra lorra stone.

Bought spinach, carrot, beetroot and turnip top (cima di rappa) seed to plant tomorrow. Late in the cool of the evening rotavating to create another seedbed where broad beans stood.

A relatively cool day (max 29C) but 34C threatened for next week.

Somethings had a right go at my diminutive sweetcorn ears (extra) - I wonder if it’s a pine marten (up to 3.5lbs) or red squirrels. Too high up fit a fix which would know the plants over. Ideas?
