Rare and unusual

Today we found Fraser Island Creeper, Tecomanthi hillii, flowering wonderfully well at the Gallipoli War Memorial in Queens Park Maryborough, Queensland. It’s a local plant, from Fraser Island nearby. I’d never seen it before - this website says it is rare in the wild and in cultivation.

I read that this species is pollinated by native bees, which are generally smaller than honey bees. When I looked at this photo on the computer, I was surprised to find one on the centre right.
