Celfyddydwaith

Celfyddydwaith ~ Work of art

“The picture is a self-sufficient work of art. It is not connected to anything outside.”
― Kurt Schwitters

Rydw i'n hoffi gwaith Kurt Schwitters Gweithiodd e mewn gludlun, gwneud celf o'r malurion bywyd. Roedd e'n gallu gweld y gelf yn y malurion ac yn dod â'r rhannau at ei gilydd ac yn eu harddangos nhw.

Weithiau rydw i'n ffeindio fy mod i'n gallu gweld popeth fel gludlun, a phopeth fel celfyddydwaith, ac rydw i'n ddiolchgar i Kurt Schwitters am gynnig y posibilrwydd.

Ar wal yn Coffee #1 yn y pentref, mae'r bord ryfedd hwn. Roedd yn arfer cynnwys pethau i ddiddanu plant, papur, creonau, ayyb. Nawr mae'n wag, ond mae'n sefyll fel celfyddydwaith ei hun. Gallai fod wedi cael ei wneud gan Kurt Schwitters.

I like the work of Kurt Schwitters. He worked in collage, making art out of the debris of life. He could see the art in the debris and put the parts together and display them.

Sometimes I find that I can see everything as a collage, and everything as a work of art, and I am grateful to Kurt Schwitters for offering the possibility.

On a wall at Coffee #1 in the village, there is this strange board. It used to contain things to entertain children, paper, crayons, etc. Now it is empty, but it stands as a work of art itself. It could have been done by Kurt Schwitters.
