Upright

My foot injury has improved a lot over the past week so I was able to take the spaniel on  reasonable walk this morning without too much discomfort afterwards. Our walk took us through a long stretch of beech woods where I came across this coral fungus growing on a fallen beech trunk. I've always found it difficult to distinguish between the different types of coral fungus and I'm without my identification books (still in storage) but I'm reasonably confident that this is Upright Coral (Ramaria stricta).
