Friday 12 June 2009: Curing
The pile driving is completed now and now the space between the piles and the guides of the piles is filled with underwater cement. It is getting hard under water, which I still regard as sheer magic. Anyway; they call it curing of the grout and it takes more or less 24 hours. In the meantime engineers are transferred to the jacket to take a level, as you can see on this picture. With the outcome of those measurements the four small supports on top of the jacket will be cutted to an exact level. After that, the module, which you can see on the deck of the Thialf just above the big red Heerema name, will be installed on top of it.
