Sunset on Narrow Neck

This region is known as the Blue Mountains due to the blue haze created by the refraction of light by eucalyptus droplets, an effect we all know and love. This effect looks a lot like like the Narrow Neck escarpment in the blip but the blue here is nothing to do with it, sorry about that!! It’s smoke haze from hazard reduction burns for the upcoming fire season.
This morning the Rotary Club did our monthly Bunnings barbecue, an easy and enjoyable way to make $1000 for community projects. Fellow Rotarian Larry brought his 1800cc Indian Chief and offered me a ride (in the extra). I was tempted but riding through the  Katoomba weekend traffic is probably not the ideal opportunity.
