Braeriach

We went up Braeriach today as it was the last Munro for one of our hillwalking friends. We set off early as it’s a reasonably long day and I took pictures until just before 10:00 and then put the camera away until just before 14:00. The reason being rain, strong winds and low cloud from basically the Chalamain Gap until quite low down as we came back down Sron na Lairige. It wasn’t cold which was just as well as my overtrousers seem to leak and I was wet through. However once it stopped about 14:00 it was warm wind and we dried out completely walking back to the Sugarbowl car park. We didn’t celebrate on top but did have a brief stop on the way down for some Prosecco. The blip is taken as we went back up to the Chalamain gap looking towards Braeriach in the sun and cloud free. The extra is a rainbow over the Lairig Ghru as the rain was ceasing.

Best on black.

Today’s entry on the Abstract Fiesta journal is old tree roots.
