Quod oculus meus videt

Saharan Dust Sunrise

Sunrise is at a very respectable 6:25am now, making it a lot easier to be out and active with the camera in time to capture the sunrise.  I'd been hearing that the colours at sunrise might be enhanced by Saharan dust carried up by the wind direction and I must admit it did appear very orange first thing.

This is taken from one of the bridges in the aerial shot from a couple of days ago.  The site of the old iron works is to the right of the scene.  I've also included an aerial image taken from above the old works where the Cannock Extension Canal joins the Wyrley and Essington Canal in the image.
