Morning, Campers!

As the clock struck '9, your Gal took a ride to the coast for some sun, sea & sangria. Well not exactly. One of my little interests at the mo' is a particular type of Bandstand hailing from Kirkintilloch in bonny Scotland.

This was sparked by a photo my friend Ms.Arell posted (on another online platform) of one in her local park in Edinburgh that looked suspiciously almost identical to the one in my local park, 200 miles South to the East of Manchester.

In transpired that they are both Model 23 Bandstands manufactured by the Lion Foundry Ltd in the early 20th century, and not very many of them survive!

I couldn't get any closer as Victoria Park was closed to mere morsals, instead being occupied by people camping to visit Southport Air Show. Whilst there doesn't appear to be much of the finer details in the records of the one at Southport, even from this distance I am pretty certain it's a 23. So that's 4 of them 'in the bag' so far.

It's a good excuse to take Biscuit for a ride in the sunshine anyways ^_^ (although during a brief shower she did get a drenching - see bonus pic)
