Big skies

Backblip 7

We left West Yorkshire this morning for a couple of days' exploring an area that neither of us knows - a small part of Suffolk - with a view to having a longer holiday there next year. Before long we were driving through the flat lands of Norfolk (my home county), with its big skies and long vistas. We stopped for lunch at a cafe on the A47 before MrM drove us down to Saxmundham, a small market town near the Suffolk coast, where we stayed for the night.

Plenty of time to look around the town before we ate. Pleasant enough, but seems a very 'sleepy' place. The food at the hotel was absolutely delicious, if a little pricy, and our post-Covid diet and get-fit regime was officially postponed until next week...
