Golden Showers

No showers today, but such a chill wind that I wore my fleece in the garden! Quite ridiculous. But I potted up some plants I bought yesterday in the sale at the garden centre and our courtyard near the house is looking good. Most of the garden looks good if you don't look too closely!

This rose, Golden Showers, is always the first to come out in our garden. It was well established when we came here 46 years ago and is still very healthy. It grows close to the shed door and this year is covered in blooms because I didn't prune it. I'm sorely tempted to give up rose pruning!
