Santa Pau

Another day of volcanoes,  medieval villages and lots of walking. This was our favourite village and was so beautiful and interesting too. It is built around a castle (sadly now crumbling) and a cobbled square with ancient arches. We also visited another volcano- Croscat. It is a horseshoe shape (partly due to quarrying )....so you can see the internal structure of the cone from top to bottom.
Extras also Santa Pau-little sculpture created in 1992 at an artist's meeting, and a rusty moped!
