COAST TO COAST

My younger son Ian has for some time had a yen to do some of England’s best known long distance walk. It is 190 miles long and begins on the Cumbrian coast at St. Bees Head. It ends on the Yorkshire North Sea coast at the village of Robin Hoods Bay.
To do whole walk in one go you need about 12 days.
Ian does not have that much available so he is doing a three day taster from St. Bees to Grasmere.

So we drove him up to the start as blipped. The shot was taken from about 300 yards away where the oldies were in the cafe recovering from the drive.
He started off in the sunshine. But may be tougher tomorrow when the Jet Streem is bringing some strong winds from Hurricane Lee. Fingers crossed. He is very well equipped.
