Photographic Poeticisms

Dry your Tears

You can shed your tears because he has gone
Or you can smile because he lived
You can close your eyes and pray he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he has gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let ti live on

Rosanne Maher
June 2013

Called into the vets this afternoon to give our thanks to Emma, the vet and the nurses, especially Rosanne, for the love and care they gave Bardy when he was with them and for the kind thoughts and treatment of my wife and I received when we were there on the final visit. They're a remarkable set of people I have to admit.

I took a card in for them as a thank you. It was a copy of a painting our eldest daughter did a long while ago with a simple "Thank You" on from Bardy and I was met with a couple of envelopes, the first a poem from Rosanne who recently lost her own cat to cancer and the second a card from, ostensibly, the practice but, in reality, from Emma stating that Bardy really was a fantastic "Little Man".

I've copied Rosanne's words on here because they really are rather special.
