Learning day by day

Back to School for three and a half weeks!

Carys slept again most of the morning. Then showered and set about repacking for her return to school.

Will's group walked faster than expected and he finished his expedition early and was home in time to join us for a late lunch. He then went to lie in a bath. He is full of cold. His toe is very angry looking. He is aching all over. Difficult to tell what is general aches and pains from walking miles with a rucksack and what is actual illness.

Took Carys back to Tring. She was first in her room back. We unpacked the stuff she brought back and reorganized some of her drawers. Miyuu arrived part way through and then disappeared. Maggie hadn't reappeared when I left and Alice, in the fourth bed, isn't coming back, she was too homesick.

Carys walked me back down to the car and as I drove off I watched her happily skip off up the path back to the boarding house.

Back home Will was feeling really rough. Enough to take paracetamol but not enough to go to bed before watching Wales beat Australia to get a place in the World Cup quarter finals. Woo hoo!
