Lichen. Evernia prunastri. Also known as Oakmoss.

I had a visit up to Ardingly Reservoir today. I am still feeling really exhausted, but managed to have a bit a of a walk with Sookie, and felt able to take a small handful of photos. 

I'm really fascinated with Lichen. Its a fungi and apparently used extensively in modern perfumery.
