Hurling

After getting to Iain's flat painlessly last night, and thereafter consuming a reasonable amount of beer and a whiskey (with an 'e') nightcap, it was out into the Irish sunshine to do that thing you do in Dublin - visit Guinness.

But after that we made for Croke Park for some minor Hurling finals. Having never watched the sport before we weren't quite sure what to expect, but what we got was entirely entertaining, with the final match having an end straight out of the fairy tale book, with Down (in red) grabbing a winning goal just after it had seemed Kerry (green and yellow ) had wrapped it up with a point.

We were keeping cool with the application of beer, which needed tempered with food (at the Winding Stair), rounding off the evening with a lighthearted French movie (Populaire).

Not stopped all day (well, save for watching the sport) and haven't wanted to.
