Kirkwall lifeboat

An open day at Kirkwall to raise awareness of the contributions that the RNLI volunteer lifeboat crew make to saving lives at sea. Last year they helped over 16000 people with 23 lifeboats being launched on average each day. These dedicated members who often risk their own lives are reliant upon donations from the public.
