Llew during walk around Llanishen reservoir

We're off to the opera in Cardiff Bay later this afternoon to see La Traviata. Before that we had a good walk with the two dogs (Gruf and Llew) around Llanishen Reservoir. The re-opening of the reservoir as a nature reserve and water activity centre is a great achievement following a long but ultimately successful battle against plans to drain the Victorian reservoir and build 300 houses. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed, even on leads,  because of concern that their urine is harmful to some of the rare plants. Fortunately there is a a good walk outside the perimeter which is popular with the dog walkers as an alternative.
Weather was cloudy but dry. When we came to the wooden bridge over the small stream, both dogs went in the water to cool and take a drink. This is Llew just after he'd come out of the water. With his poodle-like coat he quickly dries off.
