Gulf Fritillary

The plant store was in the middle of our string of errands, and, while we didn’t find anything for the front yard, we were entertained by two lovely butterflies fritillarrying around the display.

Gas is pushing $6 a gallon, even at Costco.  And, it being September, the store has both Christmas and Halloween decorations to assault the senses. If you’re not good little boys and girls, the big bad witch is going to come and eat your reindeer, melt your snowman,  and short out all the twinkling lights. And that’s just for breakfast.
