Birthday T̶e̶r̶r̶o̶r̶ Treat

Sunday today and harvest festival at church. All was looking lovely and all contributions went to the local foodbank who are happy to have produce as well as things etc .
This afternoon was Isobel's delayed birthday celebration. We went to the International Climbing Arena at Ratho where they have a children's Clip and Climb section.
I swear those girls have missed out on a sense of fear. This girl is 7! She was pulled almost to the top of the almost vertical 10 m high 'death slide'. They stop pulling you up when you tell them to and will lower you all the way back if you've changed you mind. Not our Isobel though, up she went, then counted herself down, 3,2,1 and let go arms crossed across her chest as instructed! Wow! She barely made the height restriction too.
She climbed to the top of the section which looks like a pile of blocks, as you can see then abseiled back down. She also climbed to the top of a set of vertical poles which you do by stepping from one to the other. She is so wee she could barely stretch her legs across the gap, but that didn't stop her. (Extra)
After an hour of climbing, they went to the party room where she had, by contrast, a dancers birthday cake decorated by herself and Eilidh. She had a fab day .
