Time With Mary...

What a treat to have my friend Mary staying for a while..someone to talk to over morning coffee..Maggie is a good listener but cats have such a limited vocabulary, that our conversations never really amount to much. 

With rain in the forecast, we chose to get out of the house before the storm clouds appeared, so headed first to the beach to check out the marsh. (extra) I had not been there since last winter and it changes so much according to the season... What is, at other times of year, open water, is now full of green water plants and huge reeds and bullrushes. I was surprised that there were not as many ducks and geese as usual..perhaps the more adventurous geese were off somewhere practising for their flight south? 

From there, we, of course, had to visit the yarn shop - Mary is an avid knitter - and in return, she suffered through my choice - the vintage shop that features Annie Sloan Chalk Paints and items beautified by said paints... and which would look fab in my eclectic home..if I had the space! (main)

A cafe rest stop for cappuccino and treat ..and back home to endless conversation..which Maggie, begrudgingly, did her best to endure..
