Sunday trip

We went for our Covid jabs this morning, and they offered flu jabs at the same time so that will save an extra visit. We chose to go to a centre down in the country at a village hall. We have been there before and it is a very friendly centre, very well run, so much nicer than a cupboard in the local, chemist!
It was a pleasant journey and we took the rural route home over the hill. It being a warm sunny Sunday, we were not the only people out and about. Ever since the Olympic Cycle Race was held in Surrey it has been a Mecca for cyclists at the weekends. They all look so fit, as we trail behind them up the hills.
On the way up we pass this World War II pill box, built to deter the invading Germans from reaching London. Luckily it was never put to the test.
