Hiding Place
Storm Ciarán had eased considerably by the time it reached Aberdeenshire yesterday and departed having given us only a good soaking.
A lovely beach walk today in warm sunshine. Headed down to the harbour where Mrs CBL alerted me to a group of shags that I hadn’t spotted. They must have sought refuge from the storm in the safe haven of the rocks which are sheltered by the harbour wall.
I liked this image in particular. I was surprised that they didn’t take off as I approached. They were content to let me get close just a few yards away to take this photo.
