Male or female?

This is clearly an adult Lorikeet as it has red eyes and a red beak. Their beak starts black or grey and gradually turns orange/brown and finally red. Males and females look identical. If a male and female are perched together the slightly larger one may be the male. The only way to be sure of the gender of a Lorikeet is for a Vet to do a DNA test of part of their wings.

They are usually around but high up in trees. I am seeing them lower down as they are feeding off the new foliage and seeds of bushes.
