View of Windermere from Bowness

I decided to take A on a trip to Grasmere today, her final day here, and she definitely needed to see a bit more of this beautiful County. We started the day with a trip to Bowness on Windermere, where we were catching the bus to Grasmere. Fortunately the weather today was much better than yesterday and we got occasional appearances of the sun! I wanted A to be able to enjoy the view so we went upstairs in the open topped bus. In less than an hour we were in Grasmere having enjoyed the autumn colours and views over the lakes. In extras you can see the great cafe where we had lunch, a wooden horse watching the tourists in Grasmere, a view of the gingerbread shop in Grasmere (excellent gingerbread), and a rainbow we saw on the way back to Kendal.
