Green Man

This is a species of Green Man - there are others. This one is on the 13th century church of Sta María de Llugas, outside Villaviciosa. Included here for Lesmark, with whom I had a conversation on Blipfoto about them recently. This specimen is on the arch of the south door of the church. I´ve included a beak-head, which is another common motif. The beak-heads form an outer arch all around the top of the door.
