Balls!

Well only one cannonball, actually! But still a remarkable find. This is looking more or less vertically down onto it, tucked in among some flagstones in the main hall within the castle walls. It's about the size of a tennis ball.
I am only guessing when I speculate that it may have been fired during the siege of 1644...
