Sunrise over the Forth

The question was always going to be when was K going to get up and how disruptive would it be. Important as I'm on the open mezzanine floor. It wasn't too bad, just before 7 but she did immediately empty the dishwasher, noisily. I got up at 8.

It snowed, heavily for a couple of hours but we got road sand spread on the treacherous party. The long sunrise was glorious

We chatted, breakfasted and A got the wood burner going again. After the snow stopped all f course, except A, went off for a wee shopping trip. We headed towards Leven but got as far as Lundin Links. It's art exhibition weekend so we looked at a couple of shops an artist and a coffee. Then back via Lower Largo for a walk along the beach, the art fair and a look at Alexander Selkirk. It was very pleasant and I spent money!

Back at the Lodge we had some late lunch and watched a Christmas movie based on Dalmeny so great fun spotting the locations. It was v v hot inside with the wood burner belting out heat.

The evening was spent down at The Ship Inn in Elie,by free bus! The food was ok and as usual there was the debate about tips.

Jim the bus driver took us back and we watched 'Strictly'. K talked all the way through it. She went to bed and we watched another Christmas movie, based in Ireland.

It was a much better day than I thought it could have been. Good to be with friends.
