Christmas Tree Lighting

This was the more pleasant end to a rather disappointing and stressful day. The day started at midnight with a visa waiver-less LV at Heathrow. I stayed up to keep him company on WhatsApp waiting for his electronic waiver to come through only to learn at 2 am that he was denied and the whole trip was never going to happen. Got to sleep at 4 am trying to think of solutions but then woken at just after 8 am as the plumber fitting new gas lines for the new Roasterie had somehow managed to completely disable the Roaster in the existing space. Couple of hours later after trial and error managed to fix it and sort out poor communication by the contractor☹️. Watched Liverpool beat Sheffield Utd with LV on video call - obviously reminded that he should have been with us at that point. The last part of the day relaxing, sad and beginning to re-imagine a new planned trip for LV in March. Here’s hoping he can get a visa in good time for that.
