African violet detail

The camera produced a better image that the naked eye. The hairy edges to the leaves and flower is more defined and the leaf detail more interesting.

Yesterday’s fine weather was replaced by regulation rain, cloud and cold winds. I went for my first run since October. It felt surprisingly good. We did get out, of course, for a walk afterwards.

Doreen remains comfortable in hospital, she may be out by the weekend. Much better day all round too.

We attended a People, Planet, Pint: Sustainability event organised by BearstedCAN (Climate Action Network) this evening. Part of a whole nationwide network of such meetings being held in conjunction with COPP28. Good to meet and talk with people who share our interests and values
