Karoo Landscape

About 16 kms outside of Oudtshoorn on the way to Mosselbay, this vast expanse of Klein Karoo scenery awaits the traveller.

With the veld fairly green, not lush, there seems to be available fodder around for sheep, cattle and ostrich farmers.

This area usually does not get rain in the winter, but this past year it seems that the weather pattern has developed a mind of its own. Last night a lovely thunderstorm, like in the olden days, brought widespread relief and this veld will definitely benefit from it.

Johann and friend Ivor, took the bikes for a spin and had apple pie and coffee at Eight Bells, before returning home.
