Two firsts

I'm sure today was the first time I've seen Queensland Golden Myrtle, Thaleropia queenslandica. It's related to gum trees and bottlebrushes. A rainforest tree from far north Queensland, I spotted two growing as garden ornamentals at Summerland Farm near Alstonville. It grows to about 10 metres high.

Many honey bees were attracted to the flowers, and also this striking orange and black insect. I think it's a type of wasp moth, which I've not seen before. This link is for the Orange-headed Wasp Moth, on the Brisbane Insects website, which looks close.
