Christmas Concert

Backblip for Saturday 9/12.  Not the best photo, but there were a lot of people wandering around.  We turned out on a foul evening weather wise and travelled into Bradford to the cathedral for a Christmas concert with the cathedral choir and the Black Dyke Mill Band.  The band was brilliant - they didn't play enough pieces really.  The choir master was a joy - a very Derek Nimmo type for those old enough to remember him.  However, rather than a lot of Christmas music which we expected, he tried to showcase the choir's talents with some pieces which really were not the best choice for such an event. And sadly in the pieces sung with the band we couldn't hear the choir at all!  Still a pleasant evening in good company, although next time I will know to wear something warmer for the venue :-))
