What happened to Christmas ?

Just been down to the Promenade to look for a Blip.

Houses which for years have had light displays have none.
All the shops which always have mini lit up trees above their windows have none.
There is a tree on the pier but its lights are minimal.

Has Christmas passed the village by or is it the soaring cost of electricity ?

Fortunately the churches have put up this rather nice crib.
