Very social

I made seeded crackers and roasted some seeds and nuts for sprinkles before breakfast this morning and later in the morning we went for coffee with the Newcomers’ Group.  We enjoyed our coffee and a chat then headed home, making it just before our lovely blipper friend, Mima, and her delightful dog, Bean, arrived.  We’d bought pies for lunch, which we all enjoyed, and Mima had brought Lemon Drizzle Cake and some home grown raspberries. Delicious!  We chatted for ages about all sorts of topics and Bean had great fun chasing around the garden trying to find any cats that might be lurking there, which resulted in the cats disappearing rather quickly, so she had the desired result.

Afterwards we sat for half an hour working out the food for our Christmas lunch and preparing a shopping list, so that was time well spent.  Later on we walked down to The Victoria Lounge Bar to listen to a singer who was mentioned at coffee.  Two people we knew were there when we walked in and we were followed by another five people, so it turned into a rather pleasant gathering.  And just as we were all preparing to leave one of the couples invited us to their place for something to eat and four of us were able to make it so it became an even more pleasant evening and we were finally given a lift home just after 10pm.

On our way down to town we saw the Beetle parked in front of someone’s garage.  The message is probably rather apt for this time of year.

I am way behind still, but will catch up with all things Blip as soon as I can.
